Help Desk

Hayei can serve as a help desk assistant for technical specialists to answer queries and address user issues. Currently, Hayei fully supports Gmail accounts setup and any mail servers that work with IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol).

The account owner must set an application password to connect a Gmail account. It allows Hayei to connect and interact with the minimum and necessary rights while keeping the account secure. Details on how to do it at https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en

Hayei will access all the unread messages held in the inbox folder. Once the email is processed, it changes the status to read and keeps it on the server. There is no need to read or reply to a message from the web. Hayei handles it directly, keeping everything secure and safe.

To set up a Help Desk Datasource in Hayei, the user first needs to own an administrator account. Once the account has been completed and validated, the fun part about Hayei will start. Also, remember that Hayei supports four distinct roles with different permissions. Those roles are Administrator (Can do everything), Developer (Can change some settings), Support (Can read and update), and Guest (Read-only).

Creating a data source means linking the email account to Hayei. The user must provide a display name and add an icon to represent the data source. The user also must fill-up the form and give the email credentials (user and password). Finally, the last step is to set up the first environment by adding the name for the new environment.

With the information provided by the user, Hayei can start fetching unread emails and creating tickets according to the messages received.
